MICROBIOLOGIST I is needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Huntsville, AL.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Performs microbiological testing related to finished product testing, water testing, and environmental monitoring.
- perform sample collection in the manufacturing areas and must be able to read and comprehend complex Standard Operating Procedures and participate in investigations as required.
- Communicate with Microbiology team and accurately document testing procedures
- Learns and stays current with regulatory guidance and compendia relevant to laboratories and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Follows EH&S procedures to ensure a safe work environment

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS degree in Biology or Microbiology. Graduate degree preferred.
- This position requires skills of a technical nature that include total aerobic plate counts, aseptic technics, knowledge of pour plate and streak plate techniques, membrane filtration, media growth promotion, colony isolation techniques, staining techniques and other activities related to microbiological testing
- A minimum of one to two (1-2 )years working in a microbiology lab
