MICROBIOLOGIST I needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in HOLLY SPRINGS, NC.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Support organization and start-up of the QC microbiology laboratory.
- Perform facility validation testing and routine EM and clean utility testing.
- Responsible for sampling water, clean steam, environmental monitoring, compressed gases, media fill support, and biological indicator testing.
- Participate in the proper and timely execution of testing activities in the production areas and laboratories.
- Issue excursion notices and assist in investigating root causes.
- Required to work weekends as necessary.
- Follows established standard operating procedures and methods to plan and conduct analytical testing within workgroup.
- Demonstrates independence and proficiency in performing tests for all products supported by work group.
- Identifies continuous improvement opportunities for team and QC.
- Has thorough understanding of all methodology.
- Independently plans and completes testing, data evaluation and reporting.
- Meets productivity, quality and teamwork metrics for level.
- Identifies suspect data and works with management to complete an investigation.
- Environmental monitoring and utility monitoring programs
- Perform bioburden, TOC, conductivity, pH, appearance, endotoxin testing for facility water as required
- Perform sampling of site compressed gasses
- Issue excursion notices and assist in investigating root causes.
- Maintain GMP compliance and documentation
- Maintain compliance with legal regulations on occupational safety and health, particularly with regard to hazardous materials.
- Comply with laboratory policies and procedures
- Participate in lean lab operation, 5S laboratory layout, preventive action & continuous improvement programs to reduce operating costs

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- AS and two (2) years related experience or BS with some related experience
