MICROBIOLOGIST

TEMP POSITION - 4 MONTHS

MICROBIOLOGIST - Microbiologist required to conduct sampling and testing of microbiological/other samples for the specific work area and prepare materials for this testing. The microbiologist is charged with performing their work in a safe and effective manner in compliance with cGMP and Regulatory requirements. The function of this position is to perform microbiological and other testing following approved methodology to assure that the safety, quality, purity and stability of our systems products, components and in-process stages are in compliance with approved specifications. Additionally this position review test results, highlights problems related to technical and equipment issues and works closely with the Senior Microbiologist/Microbiology Quality Leader.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:- - Biological Science degree (preferably a degree within Microbiology)
- Laboratory experience
- Numerical data analysis
- Experience within a pharmaceutical environment is preferable, especially within a clean room environment
- Knowledge of GMP/GLP is desirable

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:- - Conducting of microbiological and other testing of systems, raw materials, in-process checks, finished products, components and stability products using established test methods to prove accurate and reliable data to assure microbiological quality and compliance
- Assures through review that data generated is accurate, reliable and reproducible
- Trains and assists laboratory associates in interpretation of Regulatory and compendia requirements
- Supports Senior Microbiologists and Microbiology Quality Leader in performing non-routine activities, usually to established methods and procedures
