MI Support Specialist - Business Objects - DWH - SQL SERVER - Slough - £26k - £30k

I have a fantastic opportunity working for a manufacturing company in a busy management information (MI) team. As a MI Support Specialist you will deal with escalations passed for the helpdesk team and provide advise, analysis and guidance to employees for MI tickets raised.

Escalations will include Business Objects Software queries and training issues, providing assistance with report creation, looking at Business Objects errors and investigation of data anomalies through to resolution.

You will assist the MI Lead Analyst with testing of change requests and bugfix MI development. You will also look at generation of Data Quality reports, define business requirements for change requests and keep records of the number of MI issues received and resolved with statistics on turnaround times.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Good working knowledge of Business Objects software
- Thorough understanding of SQL Server database and DWH principles
- Ability to elicit user requirements and analyse
- Able to demonstrate good communication skills
- Self-motivated with good problem solving ability
- Able to demonstrate a high level of numeracy
- Ability to reconcile large data sets
- Experience of IT projects
- Excellent organisational skills
- Effective written and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
