MI AND FORECASTING DEVELOPMENT ANALYST

LOCATION: CHELTENHAM

SALARY: £30,000 - £35,000

This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced MI analyst to join our Life and Pensions division in a position where they have the scope to transform the way in which we work. Within this role you would provide the technical lead and expertise in building, developing and maintaining systems to enable the provision of forecasting data, a central supply resource list, MI dashboards, Exec MI and Work Order demand profiling for the staffing requirements of the CLPS IT & Business Change Portfolio.

KEY ELEMENTS OF THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE

- The analysis of the Legacy processes and systems currently in place for the forecasting and MI of our change portfolio team.
- Developing strong working relationships with teams on each site that will allow you to identify their needs and work with them to ensure that we meet their requirements and obtain their 'buy in'
- The hands on design and build of the system (specifically utilising SQL and VBA)
- You will also work with the Supply & Demand Manager to introduce governance and a central control of the staffing requirements of the CLPS IT & Business Change Portfolio.
- Alongside the project role you will also provide support to the current MI team on a day to day basis when needed

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Advanced 'hands on' use of technology including VBA and SQL and relational databases
- Experience of forecasting resource requirements
- Proven track record in the production, analysis and presentation of MI for use at all management levels
- Knowledge of forecasting methodologies and approaches

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- A background of working within a contact centre MI team administering such systems
- Proven project managements skills at a high level (ideally systems development type projects)
- Experience of business analysis and use of process mapping skills
- Programme Management Office/Project Support Office services, including an understanding or portfolio, programme and project governance
- Creation and implementation of processes, procedures and templates
- Data warehousing and mining techniques including establishing a data universe and building SQL queries to interrogate data to provide meaningful Business Intelligence and automated dashboards for decision making

- Exceptional stakeholder management skills (including understanding customer requirements)
- Excellent organisational capabilities
- Analytical, highly numerical and methodical with attention to detail
- Knowledge of forecasting methodologies and approaches
- The ability to work to tight deadlines and schedules, flexible with working hours to meet deadlines, achievement oriented and tenacious.
