MI Analyst - London - Contract - £300 - £350 per day

My client, a top tier global bank, are looking for an MI (Management Information) Analyst to support the team by gathering, analysing and presenting management information on correspondent banking relationships including Group affiliates. This will involve engaging key stakeholders such as KYCS, Banking Middle Office, Client Selection Committee (CSC), FEDD and FIU to source and understand metrics affecting the CB population and report it on a dashboard suitable for senior management and external regulators.

CB needs centralised and actionable metrics to focus on BAU, including RAS metrics, and change metrics.

The CB Management Office is responsible for coordinating and monitoring CB relationships.

Its main responsibilities are:

- Ensure effective management, support and control of the CB business for CB leadership;
- Responsible for the CB business and operational management, and provide the link between existing CB oversight and executing functions in the absence of direct line accountability;
- Set strategic direction, provide oversight across CB divisions and clear sight of performance, be a central point for resolving issues, define and collate CB MI and manage CB governance bodies.

Principal Accountabilities:

- To produce management reports/dashboards to internal and external stakeholders at regular time intervals to include key metrics and control breaches (including regulatory);
- Analyse and challenge MI from across the CB business for both regular reporting and ad-hoc MI requests;
- Track, analyse and report CB activity from end to end across KYC, Middle Office, CSC, FEDD, FCC (including transaction monitoring such as alerts/SARs);
- Develop and calculate key control
- Develop and structure a central repository for receiving and storing MI from across the business and various change initiatives which impact CB;
- Working with Change Management to help identify ways to automate the MI process to enhance reporting;
- Monitor and report mandatory training metrics;
- Support the CB governance forums through creating agendas, tracking actions and reporting minutes;
- Review of CB change metrics outlining progress, milestones/slippage, early sight of risks, issues and dependencies;
- Perform all mandatory training and is encouraged to familiarise themselves with internal and external reports on correspondent banking;
- Ensure time allocation is input in a timely manner into the Time Reporting System (TRS).

Support the on-going development of a new team with a Global remit for coordinating and managing our correspondent bank clients and Group Affiliates.

Role Context (The environment and operating conditions of the role including the extent of guidance and authority)

The candidate will form part of the Correspondent Bank Management Office and will report directly to the Head of Correspondent Banking Management Office.

Knowledge
- Ability to collate and analyse data from multiple cross functional sources;
- Ability to produce frequent and periodic metrics for management and other stakeholders;
- Ability to coordinate with Global teams to accurately report CB metrics;
- Strong analytical skills and sound Microsoft Office skills required (in particular Excel);
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and reasoning/influencing skills;
- Successful candidate would be practical, diplomatic, and professional, possessing a strong personality with a willingness to drive the success of the Management Office with the confidence to challenge established norms where necessary;
- Ability to work as part of a team while at the same time taking ownership for key tasks;
- Expect that the candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and a willingness to take ownership of issues, work independently with confidence and deliver on tight deadlines
- Optimally the successful candidate would be familiar with investment banking/markets type business, adequate knowledge of the Bank's Group structures, be highly adept at multi-tasking, and be able to confidently interface with individuals of varying levels of the firm;
- Job will require that the candidate quickly gain the trust & respect of those they will be closely interacting with, while remaining independent and able to challenge/pushing back in order to ensure an integral
- Understanding of risk in its broadest sense. Knowledge of AML/FCC risk would be an advantage.
