The Solicitors Regulation Authority is the independent regulatory body of the Law Society in England and Wales. It regulates solicitors, firms and other individuals.

Management Information is a critical element in delivering the SRA's strategy and improving operational performance. The post holder will work closely with and be supported by the members of the Management Information team within the Risk Directorate. The working environment is within open plan offices in Birmingham City Centre and may include occasional travel to London and other locations.

Working closely with colleagues in our small and supportive Management Information team, you will be solving reporting problems by extracting, analysing and interpreting vital data from a variety of sources, you will produce reports, summaries and briefing notes, and present statistical analysis to diverse audiences. Your findings and considerations will have a significant impact on strategic and operational decisions, and you will coach managers on the use and interpretation of MI reports. Regularly reviewing data collection and analysis methods, and actively contributing to the design and update of systems and processes, you will help improve the accuracy and integrity of our information.

Together with a degree or equivalent relevant experience, you have developed excellent IT skills and an understanding of data extraction and data management packages. You will have a practical knowledge of how to present data and also apply various statistical and analytical methodologies. You are a logical and creative thinker, with a proven ability to analyse and solve problems, you also have excellent communication skills and a broad understanding of the SRA and its functions.
