MFG Engineer

I am seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for a temp to hire role with an exciting Biotech firm in San Diego. The position provides long term stability and the potential to go full time. Please apply ASAP as its an urgent need.

This position would be responsible for reporting production performance and maintaining and developing manufacturing databases. The scope of this position also includes the scheduling of production through external partners as well as determining product demand and priorities through interactions with sales, logistics, and business development groups. In addition, this position will support CAPEX and process improvement projects through the analysis and presentation of manufacturing data.

Responsibilities:

* Execute and publish daily manufacturing updates and performance reports to support manufacturing stakeholders
* Conduct weekly production and supply meetings
* Produce manufacturing performance presentations and reports as needed
* Model production processes with the use of SuperPro Designer software
* Production planning and scheduling with the use of Schedule Pro software
* Develop and maintain manufacturing databases
* Develop and improve data management processes
* Assist in process improvement and CAPEX projects
* Assist in production and project management
* Travel toMexicoCity CMO 25%

Education/Experience:

* Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering, Biology, Chemistry or related field
* Minimum 2 years experience in a biological manufacturing or pilot plant environment
