MF Cobol Developer/Business Analyst Hybrid (DB2 & Cobol Essential)

MF Cobol Developer/Business Analyst with good DB2 & Cobol development and testing skills is required for this hybrid development and business analysis role. Applicants MUST have proven customer facing skills and strong English language skills (spoken & written), able to communicate effectively with an International community and to hit the ground running. The successful applicant will be required to gather requirements from the business and manufacturing shop floor managers to develop a mixture of new solutions and enhancements to stock management systems/parts management systems whilst also transforming and optimising business processes.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING DEVELOPMENT & TEST SKILLS TO QUALIFY:

Create new programmes and modify existing programmes in DB2 and Cobol following set standards, to include both online & batch. Create and execute Unit Test scenarios for the developed MF functions. Create system and user test scenario's & plans. Coordinate UAT (daily follow-up of results & execution). Train users on the new system functions. Assist the business in preparing operational manuals, preparing implementation plans and handling questions/issues during the project warranty period.

Be able tounderstand the business operations quickly. Position the project (organisation, locations, product flow, etc.). Translate technical designs into programmes & re-useable modules. Describe business requirements and execute business process modelling. Pro-actively validate and optimise business processes. Create screens and report mock-ups and lastly to transform business requirements into system functions.
