Metrology Calibration Technician Job

Yoh has a long-term contract opportunity for a METROLOGY CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN located in Raleigh - Durham, NC.

Job responsibilities:

- The Metrology Calibration Technician is responsible for performing all scheduled and unscheduled instrument calibrations supporting facility, laboratory, and the process operations to ensure GMP compliance, equipment/process reliability, and safety/environmental standards.
- This position is responsible for ensuring that calibration data is recorded utilizing good documentation practices, and maintained in the calibration database and instrument files.
- The Metrology Calibration Technician is also responsible for the analysis and diagnosis of instrument failures and the recommendation for instrumentation improvements for existing equipment installations. This individual will also be an integral member of engineering project teams in defining new instrumentation and integration with PLC or DCS systems, as well as be part of project startup teams in assisting in defining instrument tolerances and criticality, installations, and initial calibrations.
- Perform scheduled calibrations on equipment and systems in the facility, which include Manufacturing, Packaging, Packaging Engineering, PPP, QA, QC, PAR&D and the Warehouse. 50%
- Maintain correct and current documentation for all work performed. Learn how to navigate around, and perform data entry, on the Metrology Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager data base. 30%
- Participate in all scheduled EH&S, technical and professional training, bringing back to the group knowledge gained from these classes. 5%
- Assist with equipment start up and project implementation. Includes participating in impact assessments and assisting with choosing best instruments for our needs. 10%
- Provide validation support including operating, testing and calibration of equipment and associated systems. 5%

Job Qualifications:

- Minimum of three (3) years of instrumentation and field calibration experience in a pharmaceutical environment.
- Instrumentation and field calibration experience.
- Strong understanding of industrial instrumentation and measurement principals, as well as process controls.
