Methods Manager (Automotive) - Durham

Huxley Associates and one of the UK's leading names in the Automotive Engineering Industry who are looking to recruit a Methods Manager on a permanent basis for their site in the North East.

The role of the Methods Manager is to ensure integration of new products / processes on the site and to optimize those existing in compliance with quality, safety and environmental objectives and standards in the Group.

In addition, the Methods Manager's role will be to assure optimization of production in the plant on products in mass production & defines and designs means for materials and tooling, launches requests for quotations, negotiates with potential suppliers, validates choices of suppliers, makes orders & supervises order completion, as well as receives and evaluates technical results.

The Methods Manager will be carrying out continuous improvement of performances and to ensure technology watches, whilst continuously looking for improvements on process, techniques & machines.

Ideally degree qualified, the Methods Manager will be/ possess:
- Skilled in continuous improvement tools / methods
- Knowledge of product / process design, production technologies
- Knowledge of plastic materials and transformation processes

For the successful Methods Manager, a salary reflective of experience is on offer and this role is commutable from Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Middlesbrough & Washington and this role would suit someone who is in within the Product, CI, LEAN or Manufacturing role and is looking to develop their career.
