Messaging Engineer (Exchange & Domino)

Messaging Engineer is required by a global IT organisation to design, implement, administer and maintain a Microsoft Exchange 2013-based messaging infrastructure. The successful messaging consultant should have a strong background in MS Exchange, Lotus Notes and similar tools and have excellent English language skills. This is an initial 5 month contract opportunity but extensions are possible.

Messaging Engineer duties:

. Provide administration and maintenance of MS Exchange 2013 messaging infrastructure
. Manage and maintain standard configurations, monitoring and analysis tools
. Support Domino to Exchange migration project
. Incident management, troubleshooting and providing messaging related solutions
. Have responsibility for design, final testing and deployment of email solutions and related systems
. Provide related technical documentation including on the release management process
. Analyse the technical needs of customer, end-users and all stakeholders and develop comprehensive plans for improvement via the ITIL service level management process
. Perform other duties as required

Messaging Specialist skills:

. At least 8 years of experience in operating and maintaining large scale MS Exchange messaging infrastructure
. Expert knowledge of MS Exchange 2010 and 2013
. MCSE or MCSM certification is preferential
. Good knowledge of MS Active Directory
. Lotus Notes Domino experience
. Migration experience is highly sought after (especially Domino to Exchange)
. Good understanding of Network concepts (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP) as well as directory service, application and webhosting
. LotusScript, PowerShell or similar Scripting tool in MS Exchange
. VMWare and virtualisation knowledge is desirable
. Able to draft technical documents
. ITIL
. PRINCE 2 is desirable, but not essential
. Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is required
. Knowledge of Spanish is desirable
