MESSAGING CONSULTANT

Reporting to the Technical Consultant Team Leader the MESSAGING CONSULTANT (MC) works as part of the Technical Consultant's Team and is responsible for delivering Messaging Projects and Messaging deliverables as part of broader IT Infrastructure projects.

The Messaging consultant will have the following responsibilities and experience

- Messaging Technical specialist on a number of projects providing subject matter expertise to help compile design including the creation of specific infrastructure component designs including the messaging server/server's, backup, monitoring, capacity, storage, security etc.
- Act as part of the QA process to ensure that all technical aspects have been accounted for to enable the technical solution to be implemented successfully.
- Act as a resource to implement the build elements of a Messaging technical solution including changes where scheduled to do so working alongside internal teams and external 3rd Parties, as directed by the Technical Implementation Manager.
- Monitor Implementation costs as requested by the Technical Implementation Manager.
- Document elements of the Messaging technical
- Provide 4th line operational support assistance to the Service Operations team when appropriate and approved by Line-Management (Service Operations to supply SAP Time codes).

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

- Strong technical background with 5+ years experience of MS Messaging technologies including Exchange (E2K7/E2010) and delivering these technologies as part of a project.
- Excellent knowledge of Active Directory Service design, implementation (W2K3/W2K8)
- Good knowledge ofSAN/Storage Architecture and Design (Preferably HP/Compaq products)
- Good knowledge of Client Server architectures.(5 years experience)
- This should primarily be centred upon, but not exclusively, the Microsoft Suite of Back Office products.
- Good Knowledge of Microsoft .NET Infrastructure architecture (1 years experience)
- Strong ITIL Change management background, raising RFC's to implement changes.
- Strong Server Side application set up, configuration, installation, implementation and support experience. (HP/Dell Server Platforms)
- Strong Web Server implementation and support experience including IIS application experience.
