POSITION PURPOSE

To provide financial and management accounting support for managing the Merchandising budgets and spend. Responsible for the day to day management of raising purchase requisitions, the goods receipting of values against purchase orders and framework purchase orders. Manage and resolve queries for key contractors, and the reconciliation of installation and stock costs to be attributed to their relevant sites prior to submitting journals to action the cost movement. Responsible for the total value of installation costs to be entered into TME and assist in the reporting of spend in Merchandising.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintenance of Asset Values - to provide Merchandising Operations the ability to utilise TME by ensuring that each new asset installation is valued accurately, whilst providing all necessary details, egbooking reference/barcode and site information.
- Tracking of installations - to assist the UK Finance department in reporting all details of relevant information (financial or otherwise) on site installations as requested by MSE or any field sales personnel. Ad-hoc asset value information to be provided to MSE/MAEs or ASMs to allow them to make commercial decisions for booking units.
- Purchasing cycle - to assist in the creation of large volumes of purchase requisitions in respect of installations for Independents, Key Multiple Grocers, stock orders and all revenue Merchandising spend from requests, via the MSE's. To ensure detail of the order numbers are circulated to relevant personnel/departments to create purchase order numbers. To produce a monthly listing of all outstanding orders by site per account to assist with monthly reporting and budgetary control. To utilise TME to ensure that all new orders are asset checked so as to confirm that there is no asset currently within that site. All intangible goods to be uploaded work under pressure particularly at month and quarter ends ensuring all GR evidence is gathered in line with Jsox policies and GR numbers are issued promptly
- Communication - base of over 15 contractors. Must be confident in dealing with issues over the phone and assertive where necessary. Frequent communication between all members of the MSE team. Submission of journals to UK Finance and cost movements actioned and advised.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Educated to degree or A level standard (or equivalent)
- Previous experience within a Finance role, inclusive of reconciliations work, and a good all round understanding of core accounting principles.

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES & LANGUAGES

- Educated to degree or A level standard (or equivalent)
- Previous experience within a Finance role, inclusive of reconciliations work, and a good all round understanding of core accounting principles.
- Possess a good level of numeracy and analytical skills.
- High level of accuracy is vital.
- High organisational skills required and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
- Microsoft Office in particular Microsoft Excel. TME & SAP advantageous although not essential, strong systems experience required and ordered through the Merchandising Catalogue.
- Revenue expenditure - to liaise with MSE/Merchandising Operations department to control the order processing system. On receipt of all work forms from the MSE's ensure purchase requisitions are created against correct budget codes. Reconciliation of framework orders, GR/IR and invoice queries through Markview.
- General - monitor costs in relation to framework orders for services and aborted installations, to produce a cost analysis for such activity. To monitor unauthorised costs and liaise with the Merchandising Finance Manager to contact contractor for a credit. Lost sites - on request provide asset valuations to legal department as part of a claim for breech of contract. To assist as part of the Merchandising Operations team where fluctuation on workflow arises. Ability to
