Position Summary
Accountable for monitoring the flow of Promotional, Seasonal, New Item and Replenishment merchandise by contacting suppliers, carriers and the Distribution Centers to trace/expedite the delivery and receipt of merchandise according to pre-determined delivery dates. This position acts as the primary intermediary between internal parties such as DC Contacts, Logistics Planning, Category Management and Inventory Management to external parties such as the Supplier Customer Service Teams and Transportation providers

Duties & Responsibilities
Expedite promotional and seasonal purchase orders with suppliers and carriers to ensure merchandise is available at 18 distribution centers by the event bill dates. Expediting team has track and trace responsibilities for more than 1,000,000 promotional sku's and approximately 96,000 seasonal sku's annually.
Responsible for reallocating inventory on hand and on order quantities and creating transfers to satisfy event allocations. Attention to detail and constant follow up with suppliers, carriers and our DC's is required for the Expediter to achieve internal service targets.
Expedite replenishment orders with suppliers and carriers to minimize out of stocks and manage inventory levels. Expediter is typically the first point of contact for supplier production issues and discontinued items. They are held to the same service level goals as their Inventory Management and Category Management teams.
Ensure new items are in the DC and slotted prior to new item bill dates. Expediting team has track and trace responsibilities for approximately 40, 000 new item sku's annually. Expediters are held accountable to achieve the new item "in store by the planogram" goal of 90
Develop "ad hoc" reporting and analysis (using Microsoft Access and Excel) to assist DC Planners and Category Managers in their efforts to address service, inventory and performance metrics with their suppliers
Maintain supplier contact information in Access database

Skills & Experience
Ability to work well in a fast paced environment demanding flexibility and sense of urgency in completing required problem resolution, tasks, and projects
Ability to continuously prioritize workload with minimal direction to meet all seasonal and promotional timelines
Proven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail while analysing and processing information
Ability to handle information of a confidential nature in an appropriate manner (Alternate Source purchases, Ad changes and DC Inbound Delays)
Ability to demonstrate professionalism in their daily interaction w/Category Managers, DC & Store Planners and Suppliers.
Ability to maintain composure while addressing issues with all internal and external contacts
Strong working knowledge of Excel
Ability to run/build Access Queries
