Megasys Equipment Technician II

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a MEGASYS EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN II to join our client inAustin, TX.

JOB OVERVIEW:
- This temporary/contract position is for the duration of up to 24 months.
- Pay Range: Day shift pay rate of $18.33; night shift pay rate of $19.33.
- NOTE: 12 hour shifts working on an alternating schedule of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week. Day shift 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, night shift 6:00 PM-6:00 AM.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Megasys Equipment Technician must be a self-motivated individual whose desire to succeed on the job never compromises safety.
- The technician shall possess the skills to independently implement action plans for situations that may be outside of their level of understanding or scope.
- Coordinate internal and external projects.
- Install, facilitate, and start-up high purity equipment.
- Equipment readiness inspections to include all analytical, process system, and reporting requirements.
- Gas and/or chemical delivery systems hazard and safety reviews.
- Manage operating parameters and maintenance programs.
- Direct customer interface.
- Development of new specifications for on-site operating procedures as required.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot gas, chemical or slurry mechanical, electrical and analytical equipment.

Job Qualifications:
- Higher education required (Completion of 2 year technical degree or higher).
- At least five to ten (5-10) years of experience in semiconductor environment or similar industry; emphasis on gas or chemical interaction preferred. Specific military experience/training will also be considered (nuclear, avionics fields).
- Must possess in-depth knowledge of semiconductor products, delivery systems, equipment, and monitoring systems, including design theory.
- Able to demonstrate proficiency in new equipment facilitation, testing, start-up, and system repair.
- Must demonstrate an expert proficiency in the areas of mechanical, electrical, and system troubleshooting.
- The technician must possess good written and oral communication skills.
- High level of computer literacy required (MS Office).
- Strong leadership skills.
- Candidate must be available to work compressed work week structure (36/48) with rotation between day and night shift every two months.
