Medior Sharepoint Developer

The contract is with a large consultancy to be on assignment at a European site in central Brussels. The client is seeking a Medior SharePoint Developer with experience in SharePoint 2013 to strengthen the web team that is developing and maintaining projects. Whilst working in a large team of SharePoint experts the candidate must be capable of thinking up technical solutions, coaching junior team members, collaborating with offshore developers when needed and discussing solutions with end clients.

Tasks:
. develop new web projects, develop web applications based on functional input documents in SharePoint 2013
. provide work estimations
. write technical design documents and/or technical analyses for other developers
. perform pre-integration testing
. offer coaching and/or technical support in the team

Weekly reporting listing the performed activities and their status is expected.

Deliverables:

Write technical design documents and/or technical analyses for other developers
. provide a technical design for the development
. explain the technical design to the IS Web team for validation/challenging

Develop new web projects, develop web applications based on functional input documents in SharePoint 2013
. develop the web projects/applications with good quality
. organise peer review to assess the quality of the code

Provide work estimations
. provide estimation on the workload
. explain the link between the requirements and the estimation

Perform pre-integration testing
. describe integration test plan
. execute test
. provide a report to show the evolution of test execution

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Technical experience:

Mandatory
. advanced knowledge of SharePoint development - webparts, contenttypes, featurereceivers, timerjobs,
. knowledge of SharePoint Service Applications - Search, BSC, Managed metadata
. exp with websites and applications design (CSS)
. exp with SharePoint Internet facing websites - SharePoint content deployment; SharePoint publishing features, SharePoint masterpage/pagelayout design
. exp with SharePoint 2013
. HTML5, CSS3, Responsive design

Knowledge of ASP.NET and C# technologies, JQuery and Visual Studio a plus

2 plus years experience in an IT Services environment and making functional analyses for smaller projects

Education
. Degree in Information Technology

Contract 12 months plus

Languages Dutch or French and English
