Knowledge of Pathology and Radiology dictation required.
In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and other relevant terms as relates to transcription of radiology and pathology dictation;
Research and resolve complex questions related to health information or related documentation;
Perform continuous risk mitigation through the identification of potential discrepancies in documentation and verification of patient/report identity;
Excellent skills in English usage, grammar, punctuation and style;
Knowledge of medical transcription guidelines and practices;
Ability to operate word processing equipment, dictation and transcription equipment, and other equipment as specified in order to deliver optimum efficiency;
Ability to understand and apply relevant legal concepts, eg, confidentiality.
