Medical Technologist _ Brussels
My client is a leading global contract research organization providing drug development, laboratory and management services. The company applies advanced technologies and therapeutic expertise in drug development to provide life-changing therapies.
Currently they are looking for a Medical Technologist or histotechnologist to join their development scientific team in Brussels with a 6 months contract with the opportunity to convert in a permanent role.
Role requirements:
*To perform, review, and interpret laboratory analyses
*To evaluate laboratory data, recognize patterns or trends that suggest significant results
*To integrate analytical results with specific and highly varied clinical trial protocols and to evaluate the credibility, suitability and accuracy of test results
*To assist in authoring SOP's and to run comparison studies for precision accuracy
*To perform ongoing statistical data analysis
* To act as a mentor to new employees
The suitable candidate's profile:
*Bachelor's degree or educational equivalent
*2 years of experience or education in histotechnology
*Certified as HT or a HTL and have good knowledge of the GCP, GLP
*Knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation and terminology
*Basic computer skills and ability to maintain reporting procedures
*To have a good understanding of embedding, microtomy, H&E staining, stains
*Experience in grossing and preparing histology samples is preferable
*Experience in Aperio image scanning is an advance
