RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs general clerical/reception duties for an assigned area. Performs patient care duties for infant through geriatric patients under the direction of the Unit Manager/Practice or Clinical Coordinator. Upholds the standards of the system-wide customer service program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:
High School Graduate or GED equivalent Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program which includes completion of a school-sponsored externship Must be familiar with data entry
Knowledge of basic medical procedures, medical terminology and ability to communicate well with patients and staff is essential
Good interpersonal skills
Must demonstrate good judgement, flexibility, initiative, and have ability to problem solve

PREFERRED:
Six months to one year of patient care experience and/or six months to one year of clerical experience
Ability to transcribe from a Dictaphone
