Medical Information Executive (Maternity Cover)

Job Title: Medical Information Executive

Location: Buckinghamshire

Duration: ASAP until the end of 2014 (Maternity cover)

The Role:

To provide timely and high quality information services in support of the Company's products and interests to, external and internal customers
To fulfil legal requirements in reporting adverse events from local and overseas markets to the local authorities.
Answer medical/technical enquiries
Select current information on topics of interest and disseminate effectively to in-house staff
Work closely with colleagues in sales and marketing in achieving the Company's business objectives:
Participate in the approval process for promotional material ensuring their technical accuracy and that professional and legal requirements are met.
Review official drug information
Assist with the maintenance of departmental databases on company products
Mentor/train more junior members of the team in areas relating to MI

The Candidate:

Relevant scientific degree - life sciences, e.g. pharmacy, pharmacology
Experience in medical information in the pharmaceutical industry (minimum 2 years)
Ability to work under pressure
Adaptability - able to respond to changing customer demands in an innovative manner
Ability to work both as an individual and as a member of a team
