Medical Doctor - Wolverhampton

Sessional medical practitioner in Wolverhampton.

We are seeking to recruit sessional medical practitioners in Woverhampton for as few as four sessions per week to work with our client who provides assessment services throughout the UK. The base location is within a local medical assessment centre with opportunities throughout the region.

You will be part of a national functional assessment team conducting clinical assessments on behalf of the UK Government. The purpose of these assessments is to provide an independent view on the ability of the individual being assessed within the wider context of their capacity to work.

It is essential that you hold full, unconditional registration with the GMC and a valid licence to practice in addition to possessing a minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience from a broad range of clinical settings. You will be familiar with the principles of assessment, audit and review as well as report writing and IT skills. You will currently be working in a healthcare environment; general practice, hospital, out-of-hours service, independent practice or occupational health.

The roles are structured on a fee per case basis allowing you to arrange assessments around current commitments. There is a minimum commitment of four sessions per week and all stages of training must be completed prior to starting in the role.
