Medical Doctor - Travel Insurance - Brighton- Long term contract requirement - £70 per hour + Remote Working

Medical Doctor Purpose of the role:

Facilitates cost effective, high quality medical services to Travel Clients. Has direct responsibility and oversight for daily medical case management activities and for determination of medical necessity on medical evacuation cases

Experience & Qualifications Required:

* A Physician licensed to practice medicine in the location of practice.
* Board Certified in a recognized medical speciality that encompasses knowledge and personal expertise in the emergency management of acutely ill and/or injured patients in both out-of-hospital and hospital environments.
* Familiar with the design and operation of ground and aero-medical medical transport systems.
* Physically present at Travel offices for a minimum of 6 hours, as determined by the Medical Director, during each scheduled on-site, Monday-Friday shift.
* Immediately available for medical consultations to Travel clients by phone, pager or cellular phone at all times during the entire 24-hour period on which the Physician is on-duty assuring response within 5 minutes of notification.
* Demonstrates personal expertise and knowledge in emergency/critical care.
* Demonstrates personal expertise and knowledge in out-of-hospital emergency care, aero medical transport services, and flight physiology.
* Demonstrates critical independent thinking and ability to multi-task in situations wherein the outcome is time sensitive.
* Effectively manages computer technology, typing and word processing.

LANGUAGES:

A second language in French, Spanish,Mandarin or Portuguese would be great but not a must.
