Medical Director Job

MEDICAL DIRECTOR - FT needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Scarborough, Maine.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of medicine to provide primary patient care to Patients injured or ill in a work related environment
- Cooperate with management in the direction of all clinic activities to ensure accomplishment of all clinic objectives.
- Supervise, instruct, direct, oversee, check and evaluate, orient and train up to 2 PA's
- Communicate and work with medical staff to ensure coordinated efforts for the provision of high quality medical treatment and client service.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing clinical methods and procedures and suggest improvements.
- Prescribe, administer and dispense drugs only in accordance with state and federal statutes

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from a U.S. accredited institution for the State of Maine.
- Previous experience in Industrial Medicine, Emergency Medicine or General Practice.
- Current DEA Certificate; current certificate to supervise X-ray technicians; current certificate to supervise Physician Assistants
- The ability to react calmly, objectively and effectively in emergency situations
- Participation in implementing special medical projects, such as on site services
- Skills in maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence.
