Medical Device Mechanical Designer

Medical Device Mechanical Designer with profound product design knowledge wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- 5+ years' experience in design for manufacturing and product design with specialization in plastic components including an insight into the injection molding process and a grasp for high volume production
- Capability of working with Solidworks or another comparable CAD package along with Product Data Management systems, like Windchill or Enterprise PDM
- High level command of dimensioning and tolerancing standards paired with good organizational and communication skills
- Expertise in medical device development beneficial
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken

YOUR TASKS:

- Developing medical devices used in combination products, for instance injection pens and auto-injector, within a team
- Designing elaborated CAD models and component drafts with regard to proper dimensioning and tolerances
- Including suppliers' feedback on manufacturing processes and inspection dimensions
- Testing components and devices in the lab as well as managing CAD Product Data Management database
