MEDICAL CODER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Twelve (12) month contract, possibility for extension
- Must be able to link current ICD-9 diagnosis and procedure codes to corresponding ICD-10 codes. Must be able to go from ICD-9 to ICD-10 and from ICD-10 to ICD
- The Clinical Consultant (CC) supports client projects and internal departmental work requiring diagnosis and procedure code expertise.
- The CC also provides information and guidance on general questions regarding coding for diseases, procedures, drugs and laboratory tests.
- The CC must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, possess critical thinking skills and be a self-starter.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Assist in the creation and maintenance of electronic files containing specific diagnoses and procedures used in client projects. Includes all aspects of coding such as ICD-9/ICD-10 as well as the use of CPT or HCPCS codes.
- Provide general coding information to internal clients on diseases, medical procedures, medical devices and drugs as requested.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Understanding of patient data and medical claims data required to perform duties. Must have knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and be able to help maximize value of deliverables; must demonstrate ability to provide solutions to client questions.
- Investigate diseases, procedures, and drug therapies and provide appropriate codes for identification of same from claims and other data sources.
- Provide timely and responsive service in support of IMS goals of superior client service and operational excellence; Provide coding support across the organization in response to client needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
