Projektbeschreibung
The primary role of this position is to assure the accurate and timely processing of billing for Eliza Jennings Services.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Receive assigned medical charts to code.
- Review medical charts both electronically using a computer and on paper.
- Abstract and code diagnosis and documentation information.
- Research and resolve coding projects as assigned.
- Document requested information from the medical record.
- Determine valid encounters including legibility and valid signature requirements.
- Identify valid face to face encounters.
- Perform ongoing analysis of medical record charts for the appropriate coding compliance.
- Meet daily production goal and quality goal of averaging 95% accuracy rate on a monthly basis.
- Attend conference calls as necessary to provide information and/or feedback
- Coordinate coding activities with all related departments.
- Work closely with Controller and Executive Director on coding issues.
- Provide feedback and assist with educational opportunities as requested.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities as necessary in order to remain current with all state and federal coding requirements.
- Participate in and promote SAIDO Learning; demonstrate continuous support, including but not limited to providing input for resident goals, transporting Learners to/from sessions, conducting SAIDO sessions, leading opportunities of engagement, and participating in monthly meetings; encourage residents to develop to their full potential.
Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.

Must have a CPC-A, RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, or CPC to be considered.

Ability to identify and code diagnosis codes according to CMS and ICD-9 standards.

Advanced knowledge of medical coding and billing systems and regulatory requirements.

Advanced knowledge of auditing concepts and principles.

Demonstrated knowledge of various long-term care billing processes and sources (Medicare, Medicaid and private insurers).

Demonstrated attention to detail; high requirement for accuracy.

Written and oral communication skills.

In-depth interpersonal skills: demonstrated trust, integrity, compassion and ability to effectively deal with all types of people.

Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite; accounting software systems.
