Medical Assistant Job

MEDICAL ASSISTANT needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Francisco, CA.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Two to three (2-3) years of Medical Assistant experience
- Excellent customer service skills

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Support and answer telephone calls, triage, provide advice over the phone and direct calls appropriately
- Schedule and confirm appointments; send new patient information packets and confirm that the new patient registration is completed and returned; remind patients of overdue services such as missed appointments, immunizations, labs, and preventative services
- Prepare patient agenda including verifying procedures, review and update HMP, overdue services, review archived charts, obtain additional information to prepare patients and physicians for their appointments
- Escort patients to exam room and prepare patients for examination and treatment; take vital signs, review history including HMP, medications, allergies, smoking status, BMI, and immunizations; inform patient of overdue services

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- High School graduate or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistant
- Experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic or hospital setting
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records
- Initiates and is able to function independently as well as interdependently
- Ability to initiate, accept and adapt to change
- Must have strong service skills
