Yoh has a CONTRACT opportunity for an OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH MEDICAL ASSISTANT with excellent administrative skills and clinical skills to join our client in Austin, Texas

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Uses an array of business software applications (eg, word processing, presentations and spreadsheets).
- Screens incoming calls and/or mail, maintains calendars and handles confidential matters. May handle details of a highly confidential and critical nature. Handles all correspondence as assigned on a daily basis.
- May arrange business travel, coordinate meetings, support agenda management and expense tracking, and prepare presentations and departmental reports.
- Drafts routine correspondence. Schedules meetings, conference calls, and appointments.
- Collects and prepares information for use in discussions/meetings of executive staff and outside individuals.
- Makes high-level contacts of a sensitive nature inside and outside the company.
- Maintains an accurate listing of authorized health care clinics through the U.S. and ensure timely posting of master listing on the EHS website/Health Services webpage.
- Creates and maintains a systematic filing system, using internal computer storage drives and physical file storage cabinets.
- Maintains all medical records, including individual employee health records, OSHA logs and worker's compensation cases. Does not dispense or administer medicine.
- Provides specialized administrative support to Disability Management Team Reports to Business/Administrative Coordinator

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must be a Certified medical assistant with prior Occupational health preferred
- Prior experience in an Occupational health clinic or Workers comp environment
- Must have excellent computer skills, medical terminology and be proficient word, outlook and excel
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude
- MUST HAVE AT LEAST THREE (3) YEARS OF HANDS ON EXPERIENCE AS A MEDICAL ASSISTANT TO BE CONSIDERED
- Strong Customer service and organizational skills - accustomed to a lot of telephone work
- Ability to maintain complete confidentiality of work
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not mandatory
- Collaborative attitude - aligned with the case specialists in managing the cases
- Team player/good attitude -Word, Excel proficiency
