MEDICAL AFFAIRS LEADER is needed for a CONTRACT position with Yoh's client located in GAITHERSBURG, MD

- Medical expertise and optimization of global brand development.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provide medical expertise and insight to Brand and GMA cross-functional teams, to bring a single medical input to shape appropriate R&D and GMA decisions
- Integrate respective Medical Affairs activities with the Brand team Planning Process
- Provide expertise to shape R&D decisions on disease area strategy, ensuring incorporation of medically impactful endpoints in trials, early global KOL management and inclusion in global development program, supporting IMed Product Teams, Global Product Teams and Global Brand Teams
- Lead the translation of clinical data into appropriate communications targeted for payers, patients, prescribers and other end users by working closely with other GMA Global Medical roles.
- Effectively engage and collaborate with external medical associations and the broader life science industry in coordination with Regions and Market Companies in order to bring innovative scientific, medical and ethical insight into the company.
- Design and deliver innovative, informative and effective promotional guidance, New News, as well as coordinate Medical FAQ and Q&As with Global Medical Information Lead, to support the brand throughout the stages of life cycle management.
- Engage and extend technical expertise in the management of KOLs to coordinate their contribution to and participation in activities such as advisory boards, medical education, congress, symposia and publications both globally and in co-ordination regions and MCs.
- Represent the key interface between the needs of the regions, key markets and Brand Team through interactions with all Medical Affairs functions
- Effectively engage with KOLS and external Healthcare Professionals in the implementation of the medical strategy for designated brands in co-ordination with the region and the marketing company
- Drive the sharing of best practice medical value demonstration across regions and Invest to win markets
- Deliver a robust integrated Med Affairs Strategy in alignment with the brand strategy and GPT goals

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- More than five (5) years of experience is required within pharmaceutical or Biotech industry
- Experience in medical affairs within Oncology is required
- Oncology product launch experience is preferred
- Relevant scientific degree or appropriate certification, MD, PhD, or PharmD
- Broad understanding of oncology drug development in the pharmaceutical industry
- In-depth knowledge of relevant disease areas (preferred), Lung Cancer
- Interpretation of scientific data into effective and appropriate brand profile and or claims
