Media Validation Engineer

For this contract position with a world leading computer manufacturer, the candidate will be performing DRM and Multimedia Validation on the client's SoC for handhelds. The main goal is to do component level validation and execution of test cases. An extended goal is to extend the automation framework, develop and execute test cases, debug failures, and work with Developers to collect traces/debug logs for root-causing issues. The candidate will be expected to create test case input files using XML scripts and executing test cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Execute test cases
- Develop test content
- Test suite (test applications)
- Improve automation

REQUIREMENTS

- Must have Senior Level experience and relevant skills
- Media validation experience
- Good programming C/C++ skills
- Scripting skills (Perl, Python, XML, Shell)
- Ability to work comfortably in a Linux/Unix environment, working with Android OS
