Media Distribution Engineer Job

A MEDIA DISTRIBUTION ENGINEER ISneeded for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Denver, Colorado.

The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Deep knowledge on distribution media delivery
- Understanding of Cloud-Based DVR architectures
- Deep knowledge on streaming media protocols

What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading product developments, including substantial technology migration activities.
- Video encoding, transcoding, translate, and decode
- Technical Writing

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Deep knowledge of network service protocols including - but not limited to - DNS, HTTP, Media streaming technologies, object caching, etc.
- Deep knowledge on distribution media delivery models (eg CDN) and associated media delivery streaming technologies.
- Understanding of Cloud-Based DVR architectures
- Deep knowledge on streaming media protocols (eg HLS, HD, RTSP)
- Extensive experience of video encoding, transcoding, translate, and decode
- Extensive experience and understanding of Video on Demand, Electronic Program Guides, Metadata Management
- Demonstrated success of distributed cloud and storage architectures (eg VMWare, OpenStack)
- Understanding of media container formats including - but not limited to - 3GP, AVI, MPEG2-TS, MPEG program streams, MP4, FLV/F4V, Motion JPEG 2000, H. 264,
