Mechanical Technician (Engineer)

TECHNICIAN/ENGINEER £12.34 PAYE - £15.08LTD PH

A fantastic opportunity has risen, offering ample amount of Training and Guidance, as a Technician, working within a Global Defence Organisation. The role is ideally suited to a recent graduate or college leaver, who is enthusiastic and willing to learn more.

Seeking someone:

- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft office
- Preferably have Knowledge and experience of data capture techniques and instrumentation.(however training will be given)
- Experience in Explosive safety management, training will be given.
- Have experience of working to safe systems of work.
- An understanding of SHE, risk assessments, COSHH Manual handling
- Knowledge of proof and development testing preferable

AS WELL AS THIS:

- Have good team working skills.
- Promote a strong Health & Safety Culture.
- Have good two way communication skills at all levels.
- Customer focused.
- Common sense approach to problem solving
- Have knowledge of company products and processes.
- Knowledge of the code of conduct and ethics processes.
- Preferably have experience in large and medium calibre weapon systems eg 120mm, 105mm, 30mm, 27mm etc
- Have an open minded and flexible approach to the variety of tasks, roles and responsibilities and training to be undertaken.

ADDITIONAL:

- Flexible working approach
- Able to respond to the Range requirements at short notice
- Willing to travel to other parts of the UK and abroad.
- Work unsociable hours such as nightshift and weekends when required.
- Activities are exposed to the elements most work activities are undertaken outdoors.
- Training will be provided, where applicable, on all aspects of the role.
