Mechanical Superintendent

Client involved in power plant EPC projects is looking for a "hands on" Mechanical Superintendents with 10-15+ years of related heavy industrial plant construction site experience for an long term project assignment in Virginia. You need to have at least 3 years of experience as a Construction Engineer or Construction Superintendent over power plant EPC projects, specifically on solid fuel power plant construction projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- You will be the only representative on site for the company doing the engineering & procurement portions (not construction) of this project
- You will represent this company on site and maintain the relationships with the Owner's Reps and the General Contractor doing the overall construction
- At first you will accept the delivery of the equipment, maintain the inventory and report the deliveries to your company
- Inspect delivered equipment for damage and then ensure equipment is stored and maintained per Vendor specs
- Maintain all company engineering drawings and answer questions or relay questions to the corporate Engineering office
- Participate in the check out and startup of all equipment

REQUIREMENTS

- 10-15 years of experience supporting large, heavy industrial plant construction projects
- At least 3 years of experience as a Construction Engineer or Construction Super over power plant EPC projects
- Specific experience on solid fuel fired boiler EPC projects is needed
- Must be able to effectively interact with Customer, vendors, and other team members on the telephone and in person
- A BS Degree is a PLUS
- You must have excellent written & verbal communication skills and strong analytical and problem solving skills
