Mechanical Stress Engineer / Finite Element Analyst - Contract

Amoria Bond are looking for a contract Stress Analyst to support our client within their R&D team working on the next generation turbine.

As the Mechanical Stress Engineer / Finite Element Analyst you will support the design and optimisation activities, analysing system requirements and design solutions.

The role will involve:
* Root cause analysis of problems to provide a clear understanding of task requirements, assisting in the delivery of robust, cost-effective solutions, and fully reporting on these ensuring activities are completed on time and on cost.
* Structural analysis thought all stages of product lifecycle
* Technical report writing
* Perform mechanical calculations - FEA and hand calculations

Key skills / experience required:
* ANSYS FE
* Static and Dynamic Finite Element analysis
* Hand calculation of loads, stains, stresses.
* Lifing of metallic components
* Technical report writing and clear communication of analysis results and conclusions
* Experience of large steel structures
