Mechanical Project Engineer - Pro Engineer CAD. power generation and ancilliary power distribution equipment.

Key responsibilities:
* Interpret customer requirements to deliver improved product design for portable power generation and electrical distribution products to be used across the Aggreko international hire fleet.
* Agree the specification of modifications with Product Manager - Power, who is the design authority for the product type.
* Work closely with suppliers in low cost economy regions to improve quality, cost and delivery performance.
* Ensure that our products are robust, cost effective and fit for purpose.
* Ensure all modifications and new designs are correctly documented and use Pro-Engineer and AutoCAD to create clear, concise and accurate design drawings.
* Create thorough and accurate bills of materials and support the procurement and manufacturing teams with any technical issues associated with the supply and manufacture of modified systems.
Education/Qualifications
* At least and HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering. An engineering apprenticeship would be an advantage, but not essential.
Professional skills/experience
* Good practical mechanical knowledge gained through experience.
* Good knowledge of mechanical components and systems (i.e. pumps, engines, cooling systems, support structures, generators, lifting systems)
* Experience of commissioning plant
* Experience of mechanical component and equipment specification
* ProEngineer and AutoCAD drawing experience. Ability to interpret customer requirements and produce mechanical and layout drawings.
