Mechanical / Project Engineer

I am urgently looking for a Mechanical Engineers / Mechanical Project Engineer to join a drilling contractor in Aberdeen on a long term project.

You will be working on a rig upgrade renewing the BOP and control systems, instillation of new cranes, fabrication and instillations. This role will be office based until you are relocated to the shipyard.

As Mechanical Engineer you will report into the project manager and be responsible for reporting and supervising mechanical items during every phase of the project. You will be required to perform on-site inspections and follow up with sub-contactors and suppliers.

You will also be responsible for:

- review and verification of design and engineering drawings and documentation
- FAT
- SAT
- Reviewing commissioning
- Mechanical completion documents

Requirements:

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Oil and Gas industry experience
- Previous experience on topside equipment or handling equipment / cranes

Desirable:

- Worked with a drilling contractor
- Project experience
- Worked with Semi-submersible drilling units
- Upgrades

It is essential you have project experience and experience working in a similar field.
