Mechanical Project Engineer

Our client, a large subcontracting engineering company are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team in Huddersfield on a process plant.

Essential Experience & Attributes

Looking for a competent Mechanical Project Engineer who will join a team of Mechanical Project Engineers and Designers on a variety of upgrades / modifications to existing process plants, previous experience in a project supervision to handover role is essential. Familiarity with current standards / legislation required to enable delivery of compliant work to a high standard, within budget and within tight time constraints.

Scope of duties include:

-Project Scoping & Definition
-Cost Estimating
-Work allocation / progress monitoring
-Equipment specifying & procurement
-Task planning
-CDM studies / Risk assessments
-Progress reporting
-Cost monitoring
-Knowledge of PER regulations an advantage
-Knowledge of ATEX regulations an advantage
-Knowledge of Hazardous area design and installation
-Construction supervision / auditing
-Project snagging and handover
-Commissioning management
-Team player / Team motivator
-Possible out of hours working
-Flexible & hardworking

Qualifications: Degree or Chartered Status or HNC / HND minimum with demonstrable experience.
AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Literate
