MECHANICAL/PIPELINE ENGINEER with Oil and Gas experience needed for an 18 MONTHS PLUS CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY for Yoh's client in DOWNTOWN HOUSTON, TX.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Mechanical/Pipeline Engineer interacts within the Project Applications and sales personnel to the point of order receipt while maintaining coordination with management and process engineering review.
- Performs engineering calculations to size vessels, piping, and valves to develop flow diagrams to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
- The Project Engineer is responsible for performing research and analysis of data such as customer DESIGN PROPOSALS, SPECIFICATIONS, DRAWINGS, NATURAL GAS INDUSTRY CODES AND EQUIPMENT MANUALS to determine feasibility of design or application of equipment.
- The incumbent leads interaction with customer on all project issues, including commercial and technical aspects to include planning and scheduling.
- Provides basic equipment data to sales & application/estimating/proposal groups, Receives awarded projects from proposal group, Initiates job folder on server, Reviews customer specifications for compliance and/or deviations, Submits schedules to customers
- MECHANICAL/PIPELINE ENGINEER DEVELOPS PROCESS EQUIPMENT VESSEL, TANK AND PACKAGE DESIGNS FOR FABRICATION
- Works with sales personnel for customer communication and approvals.
- Develops flow diagrams
- MECHANICAL/PIPELINE ENGINEER DEVELOPS ASME CODEsome design components are applicable to the position.
- Negotiates change orders and approves them when the customer presents modifications
- Ensures project-engineering work is completed accurately and on schedule.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING OR INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING WITH AT LEAST TEN YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY
- FIVE TO TEN (5-10) PLUS YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH OIL & GAS PROCESS EQUIPMENT SIZING, DESIGN & ASME CODE
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Auto Cad, Microsoft Project.)
- Experience with process vessels, tanks & package design.
- Experience with applicable codes and standards
- EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF COMPRESSION AND SIZING
