Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer Job

MECHANICAL MANUFACTURING ENGINEER needed for a six (6) month contract assignment with Yoh's client located in Florence, SC.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- As a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer you will provide leadership, planning and technical support for the introduction of new processes for product development and existing manufacturing of superconducting magnets used in MRI scanners.
- You will design and develop the processes that produce new products, while initiating efforts to improve current product and process quality.
- AMEs are recognized as a key manufacturing technology leader in their area across the Global Supply Chain organization.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree and minimum five (5) years of direct experience or Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent fields and minimum seven (7) years of direct experience.
- Demonstrated process development, troubleshooting, analytical and planning skills
- Strong Six Sigma skills. Minimum Green Belt, or equivalent, qualification
- Strong understanding of Manufacturing, QMS, and NPI
- Ability to work independently
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, implement and sustain beneficial organizational change
- Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal) to all levels of the organization
- Ability to identify and implement Best Practices

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- MS/PHD in technical field
- Minimum seven (7) years industrial experience in Manufacturing Engineering
- Experiences in Process Intensive manufacturing
- Product and Process Development experience
- Demonstrated program or project management skills
