Accountabilities:
*Generation and assessment of concept mechanical solutions to meet product functional requirements
*Development of concept design solutions for mechanical components and associated production of 3D CAD models (Pro-E and/or Creo Parametric)
*Management of overall missile assembly model
*Conducting trade/sensitivity studies to inform wider design decisions
*Generation of mechanical interface definition models
*Providing mechanical design support to the project team
*Liaising with project stakeholders
*Holding peer reviews of proposed design solutions
*Generation of appropriate supporting documentation and upload to hardware design record
*Planning own day-to-day activities

Skills and Knowledge:
*Experienced user of Pro-Engineer
*Knowledge of: manufacturing processes, interface definitions, tolerance analysis, design related military standards
*Able to work with relative autonomy
*Comfortable working on a dynamic project in the concept phase
*An appreciation of other engineering areas would be beneficial
