Job Description
Installation of mechanical systems, components and equipment on vessels.

Additional Information
Must be willing to work as part of a team and prepared to work shifts, evenings and weekends if required to do so by the business.

Responsibilities:

Work safely at all times, complying with Health and Safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines.
Fitting, stripping and re-assembling Valves/Hull Valves and therefore the testing of.
Competent in reading Engineering drawings and working to tolerance.
Argon purging of Pipe systems.
Shaft alignment and rudder hydroplane installation.

The Individual

Qualifications/Experience:

Time-served Mechanical Fitter.
C&G Level 3 or equivalent.
NVQ L3 (dependent on time-served date).
Demonstrate experience in fitting, stripping and re-assembling Valves/Hull Valves and therefore the testing.
Demonstrate experience in Argon purging of Pipe systems.
Experienced in Shaft alignment and rudder hydroplane installation.
Experience in Ship/Submarine repair.
Experience in weapons installation in submarine build.
Experience in Nuclear installation.
