Mechanical Fitter

Mechanical Fitter required for a world leading Oil and Gas Company based in Aberdeen to assemble and test company equipment to a high standard, adhering to the EHS & Quality policies and procedures. Seeking a self disciplined and proactive Mechanical Fitter/Technician with a HNC qualification or the equivalent experience.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

- The assembly/fitting and testing of equipment ensuring policies and procedures are stringently adhered to prevent EHS issues which should be carried out in a timely manner as per the work order routings.
- Accurate traceability records of assemblies.
- Producing & updating relevant documentation on work.
- Raising written EHS and Quality concerns.
- Writing Safety Risk Assessments for jobs as and when required.
- Secondary task to be able to flex between other assembly and test departments.

Qualification/Requirements:

- Time served with C&G or Modern Apprenticeship with HNC. Alternatively NVQ Level 3 in a relevant Engineering discipline.
- Self-disciplined, proactive, cooperative manner with a capacity to work in a multi-product environment.
- High level of HSE awareness with certification in slinging and lifting, pressure testing, manual handling and fork lift certificate.
- Be able to read engineering drawings and follow Test Procedures documents.
- Ability to work well on their own as well as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of machining operations and electrical soldering and not a necessity.
