Mechanical FEA ANSYS CAD Inventor Solidworks ROV

A key client based in Cumbria is looking for several Mechanical design engineers with Inventor design skills. This will be for an initial 12 month contract.

The role:
The client is looking for a Senior Design Engineer to work alongside a developing team to support existing and potential new projects.

The company work on several bespoke design and products ranging from ROV mechanism design, rig design, prototype of nuclear and offshore products. It would be advantageous to have ANSYS and FEA experience.

1.Ensuring that all work on a specific project being produced complies with the client design specification and relevant standards.
2.Interface with specialist consultants within nominated discipline.
3.Ensure completeness of design packages presented to the Design Manager/Lead Engineer for comment, review, approval etc.
4.Ensure continuity of workload for design team members working on a specific project.
5.Interface with client on project related matters including Requests for Information, Technical Queries etc.

Skills:
*3D design skills
*Experience in mechanical design and coordinating equipment layouts
*Experience producing/supervising the production of detail designs
*Mechanical calculations
*Autodesk Inventor user (advantageous)
*Experience in FEA and the use of 'ANSYS' software
