Contract Mechanical Engineer Project Manager - £420.00 per day Nr London

My client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer contractor with a view to start at the beginning of March on an initial 6 month project (options to extend). You will be working out of the Head Office of this Aerospace Company and managing this Modification project from start to finish.

* You will steer and manage engineering and vendor stakeholders to deliver the fleet modifications to time, cost and quality/performance priorities.

* Plan and manage modification inputs with workshop centres to aid modification delivery.

* Ensure work packages are allocated with responsibilities identified and documented. Review and manage warranty claims and financial discounts with vendors as appropriate.

* Provide detailed reports and appropriate escalation to sponsor and/or line managers on a weekly basis.

* Communicate and act as prime point of contact with team members, external organisations and suppliers.

The technicalities of this project are now well established, this role will focus on implementation and needs an experienced Project Manager with:

* Exceptional stakeholder management skills

* a strong disciplined systematic approach to project management

* An emphasis on collaborative working within a Strong Matrix Organisation
