Mechanical Engineering Lead - 12 Months - Midlands

A client based Midlands is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Lead. This will be for an initial 12 months.

Role:

- To support the Project Leader through the definition of detailed during the simultaneous engineering phase and into the main and VP project.
- Ensure the complete project is running correctly with timing, scope, ensure the project accurately reflect what was sold as a scope:
- Working in Teams of engineering designer in different country
- Recommendation of best practices or alternative processes/solutions, problem solving
- Create quality supporting data to demonstrate productivity, manning and facility throughput
- Maintain and where appropriate apply an up to date awareness of new and developing
- Effectively analyses and problem solve
- Report potential and actual process changes for reduce the potential cost in manufacture
- Organize and maintain an accurate relationship on the team

Skills:

- The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge within our Sector of BIW (having worked on under body would be advantageous)
- Have knowledge and experience of BIW tooling and fixtures and BIW engineering.
- Design Tooling of BIW
- Manufacturing background
- Knowledge of VISION MOCKUP and Tool design
- Knowledge of Catia
- Knowledge of JLR riveting and joining methods.
