Rate: £32.86 per hour LTD

OUTSOURCE UK LTD is actively seeking to recruit 2 Mechanical Engineers for a contract role on behalf of a client.

THE CLIENT:
A leading Engineering and Defence organisation

THE JOB:
The purpose of the Mechanical Engineer role is to effectively and efficiently deliver mechanical design solutions against project and customer requirements, in accordance with budget, timescales and technical performance.
To champion mechanical engineering best practice to deliver optimised engineering solutions into IPT's to meet requirements at optimised cost
Provide technical guidance, leadership and direction on critical technical problems
Set standards for behaviours, technical leadership and quality of mechanical engineering.
Conduct Peer Reviews.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
The successful Mechanical Engineer candidate will be responsible for the following:
Undertake technical tasks using relevant expertise and business knowledge
Keep abreast of current developments in own field of specialism
Provide technical assistance and guidance to others
Provide task estimates including the identification of risks
Promote a culture of best practice sharing and process improvement
Take responsibility for knowing how well customers requirements are being met

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE
Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent
Typically meets the requirements for registration as an incorporated engineer or chartered engineer with the engineering council and preferably is a member of a relevant professional body
Experience of design reviews, by contributing evidence for assessment
Experience of assessing an appropriate phase review deliverable in one or more phases of the life cycle
