Mechanical Engineer - Thermal Analysis

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a MECHANICAL ENGINEER - THERMAL ANALYSIS to join our client in Portland, OR.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Mechanical Engineerwill research, innovate, design, and develop solutions at the component and platform level.
- Mechanical Engineerwill work closely with the board and system design teams to provide thermal guidelines for using boards in systems as well as solder joint reliability analysis.
- Conduct thermal analysis, experimental validation, and system-integration solutions proven through thermal modelling.
- Utilize thermal analysis tools such as Icepak and Flotherm, as well as analytical computations to complete these tasks

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Extensive experience using thermal analysis software; Icepak or Flotherm
- Finite-Element Software; Ansys
- Mechanical Design experience
- Solid understanding of thermal systems design and integration
- Experience setting up physical prototypes, thermal tests and analysing data
- Package/SiP/Soldered down thermal analysis
- 2nd level BGA/LGA SJR support
- 1st level bump stress support for flip-chip packages
- Die cracking under mold pressure.
