Mechanical Engineer Job

MECHANICAL ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in ERIE, PA.

- 2 Design Engineering
- Automotive or other industrial structures design

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Development of concept and detailed designs for locomotive cab structure and packaging on locomotive requisition projects.
- Mechanical Engineering Drawings.
- Coordinate with other engineering sub-system teams, systems engineering and manufacturing team in Erie, PA
- Complete design work and design analysis as required to meet design goals.
- Write drawing change orders and interface with the drafting team for layouts, detail design, drawings and change implementation.
- Review and approve designs developed by designers & 2-D detailed drawings completed by drafting.
- Strong interpersonal skills, good written and oral communication skills.
- Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from ABET or equivalent accredited program
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in engineering position
- Experience providing engineering support in a manufacturing environment
- Project management experience
- Having work with cost -out projects previously would be a plus to the manager
