Mechanical Engineer Job

MECHANICAL ENGINEERS needed for a six (6) MONTH CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Deer Park, IL.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Contribute to the mechanical design and development of Multimedia products for the automotive industry by utilizing best in class engineering practices to incorporate innovative design solutions.
- Candidates will be asked to identify design solutions, establishing design direction and execute to a plan that will end in a successful product launch.
- Candidates maintain mechanical engineering schedule for their own tasks and responsibilities.
- Solicit guidance/feedback as necessary to improve performance. Perform tolerance analysis on new or existing designs or concepts to determine theoretical design feasibility.
- Design and conduct experiments using statistical tools and techniques to confirm FEA analysis. Interface with program team members, suppliers and customers.
- Travel to customers, suppliers and/or factories as needed

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- BSME IS REQUIRED
- Must have electronic packaging experience
- Five (5) plus years of experience in product development: for C10/C11 Candidates must have an understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes such as thin wall injection molding, sheet metal, and die castings.
- Experience designing for Class A surfaces is also highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of design for Manufacturability (DFM) as well as functional dimensioning, worst-case and statistical tolerance analysis techniques, and geometric tolerance.
- Candidates must be experienced in applying general mechanical engineering analysis and finite element analysis theory.
- They must also be skilled in analytical/problem solving, data acquisition and have the ability to use statistical tools and techniques.
- CATIA and/or Pro/Engineer modelling experience are required.
- Must have a working knowledge of common business applications.
- Applicants must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to operate within a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are required. This includes the ability prioritize and multitask.
